Do I need a referral to see a speech pathologist?
No, you do not need a referral to see a speech pathologist. However, if you wish for your child to access Medicare rebates, a referral will be required. A Chronic Disease Management Plan provided by the GP will entitle you to a Medicare rebate for part of service fee for up to 5 sessions per calendar year.
What funding options are available to use at The Speech Scene?
We currently accept the following funding supports:
Medicare rebate payments through referral provided by your GP or medical practitioner.
Private Health Insurance if speech pathology is included in your policy.
NDIS – Self Managed clients and NDIS Plan Managed clients.
How long are appointments?
Appointments are typically 60 mins, with some flexibility permitted.
What ages do we treat?
We treat all ages, from birth through to geriatric
Can you offer therapy sessions in my child’s school?
Yes we can, however this will depend on your child’s school. Please consult with your child’s school if you would like this to happen.
How long will I have to wait for an appointment?
We have no wait times at Northern Beaches Mobile Speech Pathology! This means that we can work with you immediately!
